Extension project

Hashim Welfare Hospital has helped over a million patients since 2003.

However, the work does not stop. Our 2010 extension has resulted in tremendous benefits for our patients, allowing hospital staff to offer procedures that previously were not possible.

Since 2020, HWHA has been working in collaboration with our partner organisation, the Hashim Welfare Association (HWA), to achieve an additional extension that will address a critical need for further space.

The current situation

Over the years, our hospital has experienced a steady increase in demand. This has led to overcrowded clinics, and patients and families often having to wait outside.

Our plan

The new building will be spread across four floors and will include A&E, in-patient and out-patient wards, physiotherapy, ENT/hearing disability, and eye clinics. It will also include an operating theatre, and space for administration and teaching.

We urgently need to raise £1 million to complete this new extension. This will allow us to:

  • Expand our hospital services
  • Create more space for our departments
  • Support more patients
  • Reduce waiting times
  • Provide high-quality care with a greater number of qualified staff

Our hospital started with just one clinic and five staff members, and has grown to 10 departments supported by nearly 50 full and part-time staff. To continue meeting the needs of our community and improving patient care, we must complete this building work as soon as we have enough funding. Your support is crucial in helping us achieve this goal.
