About Us

The Hashim Welfare Hospital in Village Pindi Hashim, Pakistan, is a combined project of two charities, in the UK and Pakistan, founded by Dr Idrees Awan.

The core objective of the charity is to provide high quality, accessible health care with a focus on the poor and needy.

The foundation stone for Hashim Welfare Hospital (HWH) was laid on 9 April 1999 in Pindi Hashim, a rural village in Pakistan between Islamabad and Lahore and the first patient was seen on 1 June 2003. The founding charity, Hashim Welfare Hospital Appeal (HWHA), is based in the UK and the Hashim Welfare Association (HWA) is running the hospital in Pakistan.
